Background of the study
AI-enhanced audiobook services are redefining library accessibility by providing diverse and adaptive auditory learning resources. At Ogun State Institute of Technology Library, Igbesa, the integration of AI algorithms in audiobook systems tailors content to meet individual user preferences, reading speeds, and language requirements (Adeyemi, 2023). These services enable users to access a broad range of materials in audio format, which is particularly beneficial for visually impaired patrons and those who prefer auditory learning. The system employs natural language processing to adjust narration styles and employ voice modulation, ensuring an engaging and personalized listening experience. Additionally, AI enhances content discoverability by recommending audiobooks based on user history and feedback, thereby expanding access to educational resources beyond traditional print media (Chukwu, 2024). Despite these advantages, challenges such as audio quality inconsistency, limited language support, and technical issues in the integration of AI remain. This study evaluates the effectiveness of AI-enhanced audiobook services in improving library accessibility and user satisfaction while identifying potential barriers and proposing solutions to optimize these services.

Statement of the problem
Despite the advancements in AI-enhanced audiobook services, the Ogun State Institute of Technology Library faces challenges in delivering consistent and high-quality audio content. Issues such as variable narration quality, limited multilingual support, and technical integration problems can diminish user experience. These factors hinder the full potential of audiobooks in improving library accessibility for diverse user groups, particularly those with special needs. The study seeks to identify these challenges and recommend strategies to ensure optimal service delivery (Oluwatobi, 2024).
